Many people have been asking about the Orphan Ministry in Guatemala. When we first set out to minister to the children in Guatemala we found ourselves in an Orphanage in the town of Hue Hue Tenango. But as we began to pray about our role and ministry within the orphange we found that God was calling us to an area in need of the Gospel Message.

Along with a team member from a previous trip, we set out for the village of Pacux. While in Pacux we were introduced to Pastor Arnaldo who is working tirelessly for the Lord. Through our partnership with him we have been able to provide the village with running water to irrigate a field that will be used to provide food and jobs for the village.
 
As we continue to forge ahead in this ministry, we have the opportunity to share the Gospel Message with another village near Pacux that is without running water and electricity. It is our hope and Pastor Arnaldo's hope that not only can we deliver the Gospel Message to them but begin a partnership in Ministry with the village.

Some have asked how this ministry continues to be an orphan ministry. For many of the children of this village, and others like it, their fathers travel to the sugar cane fields along the coast, Guatemala City and even the United States in search of work. For many of these families the fathers, and sometimes, mothers do not return and the children are left in the care of the village. So as you can see this continues to be an orphan ministry that has continued to grow.

Please continue to be in prayer for the teams as they minister in Pacux, Guatemala and surrounding villages. Also, please keep Pastor Arnaldo and his family in your prayers as they continue to spread the Gospel Message.

Spaces for the July 2010 trip are filling quickly. There will be a meeting on March 7th @ 12 pm following our 11 am service to solidify the number of individuals going on the July trip. If you are wanting to take part in this trip we need you there and your commitment.
